Polytechnic students designed entry signs for Gavrilovo-Posad district

The projects were executed by students of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism within the discipline “Architectural Design”.

Students of group A-21 worked on the creation of entrance road signs, which should reflect the history, occupation of residents and significant events of settlements located along the ancient Stromyn highway Gavrilov Posad - Suzdal. The leaders were associate professor Vladimir Lifatov and senior lecturer Elena Slobodina. A total of 24 entry signs were presented for the villages of Borodino, Shekshovo, Ratnitskoye, Irmes, Ivankovo and others, as well as for the entrance to Gavrilov-Posad itself.

At the presentation, held on April 10, the students’ work was accepted by Elena Moreva, the Deputy Head of the Gavrilovo-Posad District Administration. She proposed to present all student projects at the exhibition at the District Museum of Local History and to hold a public discussion so that local residents could choose the best. And according to the assessment of those who attended the presentation, three signs were recognized as the most informative and visually attractive. The first two were developed by Anastasia Maksina and Matvey Kovalev for the rural settlements of Davydovskoye and Bolshoye Davydovskoye. The author of another sign was Anastasia Savelyeva. She proposed her sign for the village of Shekshovo.
